CEREAL MAGAZINE

December 29, 2014

I am forever on the search for new and interesting magazines. Over the past couple of years I have lost an interest in fashion magazines, which were once a source of great inspiration for me. It seems the older I get, the more interest I gain in lifestyle, design and food magazines and even websites and blogs. So with my Vogue, In Style and Elle magazine subscriptions expired, I needed some replacements for my reading material. My older sister Alex (who by the way is probably the best gift giver I know) subscribed me to Darling magazine and more recently Kinfolk, which I adore. But I was still looking for one more that both James and I could enjoy, and that was focused on many different topics.

After a few weeks of searching and endlessly going through old photos from @coffeetablemags, the cover of the magazine Cereal caught my attention. With little introduction and only knowing it was a travel & lifestyle magazine, I ordered my first copy which was Vol.7 in their collection.

Each volume features many different cities, in Vol.7 I had the joy of reading about New York, Bristol, Portmeirion, and Marrakech. Reading about each of these places really intrigued me and seriously made me want to travel asap. Some other topics of interest were on mid century chairs, interior design, brunch, Everlane clothing, and chocolate. They also have a lifestyle section on curated objects they love and recommend. It seems every issue is very different from the last, and focuses on such a wide range of topics, that I think it could suit almost everyone's taste.

I am looking forward to signing up for an official annual subscription which offers four volumes, sent out quarterly. Now I will have another new coffee table magazine that will keep me inspired, and will make my home look a little nicer when I leave it out on the table.

And please as always, I would love to hear from you. Are there any magazines you are currently loving?
