FRENCH FRIDAY 7

November 29, 2013

Happy Friday! To celebrate the weekend, I think you all should go out for a drink tonight. Hey, you never know what could happen. You could enter the bar, lock eyes with a certain someone and before you know it you are in a situation where you will need to bust out some good ol' pick up lines. I know it can be scary and nerve racking, you're probably thinking what if he/she doesn't like me? or what if I'm not funny enough?... Well I am here to help! This week's lesson will teach you everything you need to know about picking up a guy or a gal at bar or club. These lines will make you look so smooth and suave, they won't be able to say no to you. Before you know it, you will be waking up tomorrow morning next to a stranger in your bed thinking, man that was too easy!

Lesson Of The Week

Phrases:

Tu viens souvent ici? = Do you come here often?
(What a warm way to start the conversation and make them feel comfortable. The answers are truly endless with this opener, "yes, no, sometimes, on occasion...")

T'es toute seule? = Are you by yourself?

(Now this line is great because if they are alone then you will seem so kind for keeping them company. If they happen to be there with friends then this can work in your favor. By showing his/her friends how cultured you are they will be totally put in a good word for you.)

J'adore ton accent. = I love your accent.

(At this point you are pretty fluent in French, especially with all the lessons I have given you. So you can totally compliment him/her on their accent because now that you can kind of speak French your English accent should have altered a bit. That's a true fact.)

Comme tu assures dans ces jeans. = You look great in those jeans.

(You don't want to come off as too strong or forward, so by giving them a compliment on their clothing you will look very observant and that you have great taste. But we all know you're really just trying to tell them they have a nice ass.)

Je peux t'offir un verre? = Can I buy you a drink?

(What guy/girl would say no to this? Just a tip, the more drinks you buy them, the more they will like you and... the more drunk they get, the more likely chance they will go home with you! Doesn't everyone know that?)

Santé! = Cheers!

(Remember! Always lock eyes with the person you are Cheers'ing, otherwise it's seven years of bad sex.)

Tu veux un autre verre? = Want another drink?

(Why not? Let me repeat... the more drunk they get, the more likely chance they will go home with you!)

Tu veux rentrer avec moi? = Wanna go home with me?

(At this point they can't say no. You've got them liquored up, you inadvertently complimented their booty and made sure you both are going to have seven years of good sex, so what more do they need? Take 'em home and show them how well these French lessons have paid off!)

Well that's your Friday night done. I wish you all a successful evening of going out and picking up. Oh to be single!

Just in case your night doesn't go as planned and you accidentally try to pick someone up who has a significant other and things get crazy, then last week's lesson will teach you all the fighting words you need to know.
